Explore Charging Options

CHARGE AT HOME

Save time and money by charging your vehicle at home and start each day with up to 370 miles of electric range.

Explore charging at home
As standard with your Mustang Mach-E, a Ford VarioPower Charge Cable can be connected to a high-power socket by a qualified electrician. This will add about 27 miles of charge every hour.

For further convenience, a Ford Connected Wallbox can be installed by a qualified electrician. This is the best home charging option and can add over 27 miles of range every, giving a full charge overnight. When connected to the FordPass app you can monitor the electricity use of every charge and manage its access though the lock feature.

You can use a normal home socket. Charging is slower, about 8 miles per hour but can be handy for topping up your electric vehicle when your away or at a friend’s where no charging facility is available.

CHARGE ON THE ROAD

Mustang Mach-E is equipped with AC charging, with its 10.5kW on-board charger or DC charging.

Explore charging on the road
The Mustang Mach-E will charge rapidly on a DC fast charger, allowing a controlled boost at up to 150 kW (115 kW for standard range battery). So you’ll be able to recharge 73 miles of range in just 10 minutes at a high-power charging station (extended range battery).
Ford is a founding partner of IONITY: a fast-growing, high-speed charging network in Europe, which is currently on track to roll out 400 charging stations on major European highways by the end of 2020.

Mustang Mach-E will be able to use the three main public charger types:

1. Fast chargers (‘AC’, 11-22 kW) will give you around 27 miles of range per hour. Great for topping up whilst you’re shopping or during leisure activities.
2. Rapid chargers (‘DC’, 50kW) will give you around 185 miles of range per hour. For when you need more range, faster.
3. High-power chargers (‘DC’, 150 kW) will give you around 350 miles of range per hour. Get serious range back while you grab a bite to eat.

With the FordPass smartphone app and FordPass Connect modem, you’ll be able to check your vehicle's battery status, locate your nearest charging station, and easily pay for the charging power you use. You can even plan your trip in the comfort of your home and send it to your Mustang Mach-E when you’re ready to go.

VEHICLE ACCESS

Mach-E doesn’t require a traditional car key, or door handles. Instead, innovative E-Latch and FordPass connectivity features allow you quick and easy access to the vehicle.

Its streamlined appearance can be deceiving, until you approach. When Mach-E recognizes you, it will present an illuminated button—then one simple touch opens the door. It knows when you leave, too, and locks itself.

WHAT AFFECTS RANGE?
The Mustang Mach-E has a range up to 370 miles* but driving style and conditions can change this.
HEAVY ACCELERATION
In every vehicle, high speeds and sudden acceleration uses more power and reduces range. To get the furthest range, travel at a steady speed and accelerate progressively.
Mach E Heat.png
REGENERATIVE BREAKING
Regenerative braking is capable of capturing and reusing more than 90% of the braking energy that is captured during the breaking process and recharges the high-voltage battery. Regenerative braking further helps minimize wear on brake pads, lowering maintenance costs over time.
Mach-E Accel.png
CLIMATE
Extreme heat or cold temperatures outside affect batteries and have the potential to reduce range. Heating or cooling the inside of your vehicle will also use more battery and reduce power.
